Today is laundry day and I need to vent just a little bit. We all know that laundry is a never ending chore. You can never be caught up. Imagine my frustration yet again as I am sorting the laundry and find folded clothes in my children's hampers. Some of you might be thinking they are OCD about that and fold even their dirty clothes, but that is not the case. Apparently it is easier to put clean folded clothes in the hamper when you are cleaning your room than actually hang them up or put them in their drawers. However by the time they have sat in the hamper a few days they really do need to be washed. Seriously is it just my kids?? I'm thinking about going on strike for a week or making them do their own laundry, if any of you have ideas let me know.
Also what is up with single socks. I know I buy them in pairs but when they come out of the dryer they are all alone.

I say make them do their own laundry for a month if you find clean laundry in the hamper. Then it won't be so easy to put clean clothes in the hamper and not hang them up. I hate laundry too!
You don't know HOW many times we've gotten after Matthew for putting his clean laundry in the dirty laundry. It drives me crazy. If I wasn't so worried he'd ruin his clothes...then I'd make him do his own laundry, too. I've started just making him put his stuff away before he goes to bed....or he can't play the next day. It probably sounds mean, but it makes me crazy. I'm glad my kids aren't the only ones who do that. :o)
My kids do it all the time. It makes me crazy. My mom started making us do our own laundry when I was probably 12. If we didn't do it then we had no clean clothes. Thats probably why I hate doing it now.
AMEN!!!! Macee and I got into it this morning because I found a little Nike sweat outfit that she had put on for 5 minutes to run out into the car last night in the dirty clothes... and how about the towels. I have tried to get my kids to use the same towel AT LEAST 2 days but no.... I won't even get into Mick... he is ridiculous with putting clean clothes in the laundry. I smiled the entire time I read your post. For FHE a couple months ago I taught Mick and Macee how to fold clothes and change the loads of laundry. I know... I am horrible but I figure it's only getting worse from here!!! Go take a nap.. I bet that will make you feel much better!!!
It happens at your house too? It makes me go crazy--instantly. Serously, do I not have enough to do? How hard is it to put clothes away? And, it is not just my kids!
